The South Texas College chapter of the AAWCC was started in January 2014 and currently has thirty-two members. The chapter was started to provide guidance and support to women regarding the barriers and issues faced by many in education, employment, and health and safety.

The purpose of AAWCC is to promote and support women in their pursuit of professional, educational, and personal goals. Our core values are empowerment, integrity, respect, responsibility, and well-being. South Texas College AAWCC is composed of a board of elected officers from the College and the community.
