The South Texas College chapter of the AAWCC was started in January of 2014 with the intention of empowering and supporting women regarding the barriers and inequities faced in education, employment, health and safety. The organization currently has thirty-two members.

The purpose of AAWCC is to promote and support women in their pursuit of professional, educational, and personal goals. Our core values are empowerment, integrity, respect, responsibility, and well-being. South Texas College AAWCC is composed of a board of elected officers from the College and the community.
